From July to September Eupatorium maculatam, commonly known as Spotted Joe Pye weed, features domed to flat-topped clusters of fluffy lavender-pink flowers atop sturdy stems clothed in whorls of green leaves. These tall, impressive, moisture-loving native wildflowers grow up to 6 feet tall so are perfect as a stately background plant in sunny to partially shaded perennial gardens and natural areas.Â
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing up to 6 feet tall, the Spotted Joe Pye Weed is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in perennial borders or behind low growing shrubs in landscape borders. A fine addition to butterfly gardens, pink theme gardens and consistently moist bog and meadow gardens.

Growing Preferences
